Our Story AND mISSION
Backcountry Construction Company LLC was founded by Mark Peters, whose journey in construction began in Cincinnati, Ohio, working alongside his father in a landscape company from a young age. Through years of hands-on experience and education, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and later obtained his Professional Engineering License. His career includes working as a project manager for a large general contractor, handling complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects.
With a passion for both construction and the outdoors, Mark and his family relocated to Colorado, where he turned his long-time vision into reality by launching Backcountry Construction Company LLC in 2023. Today, the company reflects his dedication to quality, integrity, and delivering exceptional results—no matter the size or scope of the project.
